Does TrailTalker have applications other than trails?

Yes, our product services museum tours, feature parks, marine ports, bird sanctuaries, airports, to name only a few.

Do the scripts for the featured locations, in addition to the featured interests, have a historical content?

Yes TrailTalker’s talented writers will work with your organization researching sources like museum archives. We avoid “internet research” except when well qualified. Allowing us the information you have on hand and pointing us in the right direction is critical to our mutual success.

How do you keep TrailTalker vignettes fresh and up to date?

Vignettes are updated by TrailTalker as often as the client wishes, depending on need. Every TrailTalker package includes a designated number of vignettes determined at the time of purchase. TrailTalker is a product for all seasons. Whatever the client need, during any part of the year TrailTalker staff are prepared to meet the challenge.

How does the QR code transmit the data?

QR code apps are available on both iPhone and Android devices. The user simply uses their QR code app to take a snap shot of the QR code we provide on signage and they will be taken to the website.

How much data is transferable at one time?

Every vignette has total data clearly listed so you know exactly how much of your monthly allowance will be consuming by downloading each sound file. Data for each vignette is relatively small.

Can clients post important information immediately to the notice board about trail conditions or closures or severe weather reports?

Clients have access to a bulletin board and or notice board. They can put up notices immediately as long as they have PC and internet access. There is no cost to post notices, and they appear immediately on the TrailTalker system for trail users to see.

Regarding the updating of vignettes by TrailTalker, is there a fee for this?

Updating of creative material is part of the package. The amount of changes is determined in advance by you and your TrailTalker representative. For a reasonable fee, more vignettes may be added later if the need arises.

As a trail manager, I want to give current information concerning my trail, not to be included on the vignettes, such as a trail closure, or a local event. How do I do that?

Simply place your message on the appropriate notice board or bulletin board feature included with your TrailTalker system.

What about weather conditions in the area of my trails, can a user receive this information?

Yes the Trail Talker web-site has a link to connect to the local weather forecast in your area.

Does TrailTalker have an international application?

TrailTalker presently services the US and Canada. Our US and Canadian announcing staff and company Principals allow us to accurately service your specific location needs. The TrailTalker vision is to expand to other countries as the market dictates.

What about local accommodation in the featured area, such as restaurants, fuel stations, hotels, and motels for example, can these be added to the site?

Yes all of these amenities as well as others can be added by TrailTalker and reside on your site.

I am an educator of primary grades, and I would like to give an interactive and informative application both in the classroom and at a featured sites. Is this possible?

Yes TrailTalker is a great resource for schools. Voice messages and text are downloadable from our website allowing the files to be archived for use with mp3 players, smart phones and printed text. TrailTalker encourages users to use their imaginations. In the classrooms student assignments and fun games can be initiated to apply to the featured area such as a trail hunt.
